School
School is a really interesting topic for me. Back in high school I struggled a lot with staying focused with my work. Moving on to college I learned that a lot of that was due to the fact that I wasn't doing classes in person.
I have learned through those past experiences that I do much better when I'm in a social environment where I'm learning in a practical way. Not that I can't learn online, or I can't learn on my own, but I find myself performing leagues better when I'm doing it in a physical environment with other people.
Anyway, another thing I have wanted because of the way that I had done school in my previous years is to have a traditional school experience.
At my current college, this is somewhat achievable. Sadly, I'm always traveling to lots of different places for work, school, or other things. This means that often times I don't find myself in one place for a long enough to really build any lasting relationships.
What is all this mean?
Well, it's because of these things that I've been looking at a different college. I am planning on transferring and I just visited yesterday to confirm that.
The visit was better than I had remembered, and I'm more hopeful than I was before that I'll be able to get there and actually fulfill that desire to be with others in a constant social environment. As a conservative Christian in technology, there are very few people in a standard environment that agree with me on most of my beliefs while also being a technology nerd. So it's very nice to find a place where there are people who think the way I do, or at least similarly, and love the Lord.
Anyway, I'm excited about this potential opportunity. I hope that the Lord wants me to go on this path, and then I'll be able to follow.
