College Sucks

Over the last couple of days, I have been dropped from a college course. This has caused me to reevaluate my overall academic plan. Currently, I probably will graduate on time 😬.

I also have finals for my 8-week courses that I have to deal with this evening. One of my professors forgot about the fact that she started a week late on the course and is doing a correction this week.

What that means for me is that I have to do two weeks of homework for this one class and all of the finals. 😅

Also, work is being dumb, but since I signed an NDA. There isn't much I can say other than I am having to help put out several dumpster fires.
The perks of working in multiple departments 😄

Anyway I have to go now.

Audio Transcript

Narrator: Hey y'all, if you're hearing this recording, that means I was finally able to figure out the transcription because I decided I wouldn't add audio to my posts until I could. Now, depending on the length of these recordings, the transcriptions may or may not be super amazing. I figured that most of them will be fairly short since I won't be saying a whole lot per post—because again, as I said in the intro, most of these will be pretty short, just like the posts.

Narrator: If there's a particularly long post that day, I may talk more, or maybe sometimes I'll do the recording first and then write my post based on this recording. Who knows?

Narrator: Anyway, this post that I'm speaking for is "College Sucks," which I wrote today. Over the last couple of days, as I mentioned in my post, I was dropped from a college course, which put into question whether or not I would actually graduate. (Ooh, just a moment, I do have to take a brief second to close the door... okay, so where was I? Right.)

Narrator: So, that college class was dropped, and it would have made it so I couldn't graduate. And actually, today, I got an email that said, "We've put you in one of the courses that were already full so that you can get your credit." Wonderful. Worked out great. But I also noticed—and I didn't put this in my post—that I currently can't graduate because they added an additional requirement to the degree plan.

Narrator: Now, the good news is, I don't actually have to worry too much about that, I'm hoping, because the college will do my graduation based on the degree plan I was given when I started. Otherwise, I would be doing an additional course, which would set me off. All that said, I did think it was kind of dumb that this had to happen, and also the fact that I'm having to do all this extra homework. I'm having to do all my microeconomic stuff, which is no longer applicable for some reason, even though it's on my degree plan—not sure what's going on there. Texas Core requirements are also giving me flags in the system, but I think I have a little break before I have to deal with those.

Narrator: So, I'm going to have to decide if I'll do it at the cheaper college I'm currently at, or wait until I transfer to a university. It'll cost more there, but I think it may be a little bit easier to work into a schedule that way. We'll see, I'm not sure. Anyway, work is also being really stressful right now. I work in multiple departments, so whenever there's a fire in one and a fire in another, it can get a little bit stressful, but I think I'll be okay. Anyway, that's the end of my recording for today, just wanted to do it for funsies.
